That was literally hashtag#MarchMadness! 🤯😍
Had the craziest weekend in Washington DC. Huge thanks to the Monumental Sports & Entertainment for hosting. I was generously looked after by Eliza Lawrence and it was great to watch the games from the broadcasters table with Washington Wizards 🏀 announcer Mark Fratto and Charlie Mule from the Washington Commanders 🏈.
Two days at Capital One Arena watching men's basketball in the NCAA Tournament reminded me why March Madness is such a phenomenal spectacle.
Yesterday’s Elite Eight game will live forever in tournament folklore.
With <3 seconds left, Duke looked to have it in the bag. Then chaos, a scramble, and a 19 year old (who had missed all 4 of his previous long range shots in the game) launches pure from just inside the half way line... Buzzer. Ball in the air. Silence.....
AND IT DROPS! 🤩
The arena absolutely blew up as UConn Huskies sealed a stunning 73-72 comeback win after trailing by 19 points. Unbelievable.
Moments like this are why sport performs so powerfully in fundraising and hospitality.
The real value isn’t the seat or the suite.
It’s being there when something unforgettable happens.
